Shawn has always enjoyed horses, growing up he loved riding and being around them. After working at a ranch, helping people learn to ride and caring for the horses, he decided horses would always be a part of his life. When Shawn lost his good friend and riding buddy “Duke” to Navicular Disease, he decided to pursue a future helping horses with lameness issues.
Mission Farrier School is taught and run by Mark & Karen Plumlee in Monroe, Washington. Mission Farrier School teaches the Natural Balance method developed and studied by Gene Ovnicek (Registered Master Farrier). Natural Balance is quickly becoming a well known, wide spread treatment.
